What is a Muggle?
Based on the word "Muggle" from the Harry Potter series, which is a
non-magical person. In the Geocaching world a 'Muggle' is a Non-Geocacher
who may be lurking about.
When involved in the hunt for a hidden cache, Geocachers need to be aware of
individuals that may be lurking and thus discover (without the hunt) the
location of hidden treasure. It should be the goal of every Geocacher
to be both discreet and honorable by protecting the location and contents of
the hidden cache. A 'Muggle' is simply an onlooker who may or, may
not, be innocent but whose very presence has the potential to compromise the
treasure hunt. Geomuggles are mostly harmless but your awareness is
very important nonetheless.
